Reports

A summary that arrives whether or not anybody thought to look.

What they are for

A dashboard answers the questions you thought to ask. A report is for the month where spend tripled and nobody happened to open it, which is the only time it really earns its place.

Daily, weekly or monthly, to any address. You can preview exactly what would arrive before scheduling one, and send it by hand without disturbing the schedule.

What is in one

Requests, failures, cache hits, what you were charged, your top models and your most expensive end users, and the average score if you are scoring. When margin has gone negative it says so in words rather than leaving you to subtract two numbers.

Plain text, because a report is read on a phone at a glance and the numbers matter more than the layout. Anyone subscribed to report.ready gets the same thing as structured data, which is what makes it something code can act on.
